How to increase your PageRank?

19. March 2007
Let’s get the facts together first: PageRank, trademarked by Google, is an indicator for the importance of a website, measured on a scale from 1 (not very popular really ) to 10 (you’ve made it! ).
Of course Google is not telling us how they calculate this value but a few things we know will help increasing your PageRank:
  • One of the relevant factors measured are incoming and outgoing links. But be aware that quantity is not everything – the opposite is the case.
  • Google does not only count your links but also validates the quality of the website you are linking to.
  • In addition to this – the website you are linking to or from should offer a real value to the content of your website to benefits your case.
  • Be clear about your target market – if you wish to establish a good position on Google UK make sure you chose your link partners according to your campaign i.e. get *.co.uk websites to link to you.
A Content Management System such as SymLink can help you to turn your strategy – in to practice. Using SymLink will give your company the flexibility and scalability you need to quickly add new links or articles anywhere on your website – at any time! Don’t forget this is just half the story – you need to find link partners which will publish your articles and links on their website. So 'spread your message' and never forget to link back to your own website, when sending out press releases.

Always keep in mind: A good linking strategy is vital for your success online!
